Kitchen renovations in Bristol

We fit kitchens from any supplier, or make the cabinets in our own workshop. About half the kitchens we do involve moving a wall, a chimney breast or a doorway, so we price the building work and the kitchen as one job.

How a kitchen job runs

Week one is strip-out and any structural work. If a wall is coming out, the steel goes in during week one or two, and Building Control inspects it before we cover it up. First-fix electrics and plumbing follow, then plastering, then the floor.

Cabinets arrive once the room is plastered and dry, usually in week four. Worktops are templated after the units are fixed, and stone tops take 7 to 10 days to cut. That gap is the main reason a kitchen takes five weeks rather than three, and we use it to finish decorating and lighting.

Using your own kitchen supplier

Around a third of our clients buy from a kitchen company and have us fit it. We check the supplier’s drawings against the room before you order, because most delays come from units that arrive the wrong size or a sink that doesn’t line up with the window.
