About Renovel

Renovation builders in Bristol since 2011

Dan Pritchard started Renovel in 2011. There are now 16 of us, working from a yard on Feeder Road. Eleven are tradespeople we employ directly, which is why we can give you a start date and keep it. We take on about 22 projects a year and never run more than six at once, so the same people stay with your job from the quote to the snagging visit.

2011

The year Dan started Renovel, after twelve years running restoration sites in Bath.

212

Projects finished between 2011 and September 2026.

11

Tradespeople we employ directly: joiners, bricklayers, a plasterer, electricians and a plumber.

We were without a kitchen for five weeks, a week less than planned. Marek’s team swept and hoovered every evening, which mattered with a toddler in the house. The extractor is louder than we expected, but that was our choice of unit.

Tom took all fourteen sashes to the workshop in two batches, and we had boards up for three nights at a time. The windows open with one finger now. Renovel aren’t cheap, and they were clear about that from the start.

Renovel warned us at the first meeting that Wessex Water could hold things up, and it did, by about a month. Because they’d told us early, it didn’t wreck our plans. Siobhan handled the build-over and the party wall without us chasing.

Four weeks, as quoted. The tiler had to redo one section of the shower wall where a grout line drifted, which they spotted before we did. We’d have liked more warning about the day the water was off.
